VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance)
VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) for 2024 Tax Year
VITA help begins Saturday, January 25, 2025. The last day for new clients will be April 19, 2025. Hours are every Saturday from 9am until 1pm in the Parish Center classrooms. No appointment is needed, this service is walk-in only.
Free tax return assistance is provided by trained volunteers to those who qualify. Who qualifies? People who generally make $66,000 or less, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns.
Volunteers in this ministry are trained to provide several layers of service to those seeking this assistance.

VOLUNTEeRING FOR VITA
No prior tax experience is necessary to be a part of this ministry, as there are several types of positions available. Year after year, many of our volunteers return to help out again.
Why?
Because it is a great community service to provide FREE tax preparation to qualified taxpayers in our parish and the surrounding community.
It’s interesting! You don’t need to be an accountant or professional tax practitioner. We provide the training.
It’s a chance to meet all kinds of people - fellow volunteers, as well as those who really need our help!
