Ministry Info
Youth ministry is about so much more than entertainment for students or a teen social club. They exist to create intentional opportunities for students to grow closer to Jesus Christ.
SKY offer a variety of activities. Some are designed to reach lost students. Some help students grow in faith. And others equip students to use their gifts in the church and in the world.
High school-aged youth are invited to join SKY, St. Kilian Youth. All activities are open to any high-school teen. They do not need to be a parishioner or a practicing Catholic. Activities for SKY include:
Weekly youth nights, Wednesdays at 7pm, that include faith-centered reflections, fellowship, and fun
Weekly youth mass at 5pm on Sundays including our SK Youth Ensemble.
Socials throughout the year including an overnighter in the pastoral center, summer bonfires, holiday gatherings, and more
SKY also includes our teen leadership team, the SKYLights, who serve at all of our community events including SKY nights, confirmation classes/retreats, and parish-wide events. The team is open to all teens who have received all Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation).

Adult volunteers
In a healthy youth ministry, parents and youth workers don’t just connect at a yearly calendar meeting. They work together to create a future plan for each teen.
Partnering with parents allows us to equip parents in their role as disciples, to help dig into a student’s life, model the religious life, and help students walk through the doors of adulthood with Jesus Christ.
All Parents and adults are invited to join at events and chaperone and mentor our youth. Once clearing our Safe Environment Requirements, volunteers will be able to accompany our teens in their faith journey. If you would like to help our community in any way, please let us know
