Compassionate Listening by Stephen Ministers
Christian, confidential, one-on-one, compassionate listening
Stephen Ministers are trained in confidential one-on-one care for those who are hurting. This is a listening ministry, where the caregiver provides emotional and spiritual support by listening and being present to the person in need. Training is provided for all caregivers and monthly support is provided to those serving in this ministry. Those seeking to receive care contact the coordinator who will assign them a caregiver of the same gender and then all meetings between the two are conducted on a mutually agreeable schedule.
