Prayer Shawl Ministry

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Prayer Shawl Ministers meet weekly at the Parish Center on Thursdays 9:30 am to noon to share fellowship and create beautiful handmade lap blankets and shawls for those suffering in any way. Some Prayer Shawl Ministers choose to work from home. All creations are blessed by a parish priest upon completion and include a miraculous medal and a prayer that can be read as the shawl is presented to the recipient. Those interested in seeking a shawl for themselves or a loved one can fill out a request form indicating the gender of the recipient and any color preferences. Prayers are said by the Prayer Shawl Ministers as they create the blankets and shawls, asking the Lord for comfort and healing for the recipient.

Request forms are available in the Parish Office. Or click below to print one out and turn it in. Or…send an email to frontdesk@stkilianchurch.org letting us know if you need a shawl or lap blanket, if it’s for an adult, child or infant and if you have a preference of color (depending on availability).
