Patti Reed

GUITARIST

Patti began singing and playing guitar at a young age. She received formal voice training in high school and was one of five finalists in a National Music Teacher Association’s competition for a scholarship to Juilliard. It was at this point that she chose to pursue a career in law enforcement and after obtaining an Associate’s Degree, began working for the Washington State Patrol. She eventually returned to school and obtained a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. Patti continued to pursue music as a hobby. Her accomplishments include a soloist role with an American Heritage Choir performing at community venues in England, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, and France and as an ensemble member of the Norman Leyden Singers performing with both the Oregon and Seattle Symphonies. Prior to retiring from law enforcement, Patti served as the soloist for the Washington State Patrol Honor Guard performing at ceremonies and services throughout Washington State.

All of her life, Patti has felt that her voice and musical talents were gifts from God and were meant to be used in praise of His name. Patti has been active in music ministry and performed as a cantor and contemporary choir director at numerous churches in Oregon and Washington including; Holy Family Parish (Kirkland, WA), St. Joseph’s Parish (Kennewick, WA), St. John Fisher Church (Portland, OR), Unity of Bellevue (Bellevue, WA), and St. Michael’s Parish (Olympia, WA). She joined SKMM in September 2019.

Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
