July 2 - Father William B. Goldin

TOPIC: Living the Moral Life: Virtue and Authentic Freedom

In this talk, Fr. Goldin will give you a defense of Catholic teaching on morality, virtue, and authentic freedom, so that you might hear the Gospel anew, and hearing it anew, you might fall more deeply in love with the God whose grace fills the Gospel with rescuing power.

BIO: Ordained to the priesthood in June 2014, Fr. Will currently serves as Parochial Administrator at Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Habra. In addition to his parish work, he serves as a Diocesan Coordinator for the Synod on Synodality, teaches for the Diocesan Diaconate Formation Program and the Emmaus Institute, and is the founder of “Catholics Invade the Bar.”

July 23 - Joan Patten

TOPIC: Universal Call to Holiness in Daily Life, focusing on the mission of the baptized laity in the world

BIO: Joan is the Delegate for Consecrated Life for the Diocese of Orange. She is a consecrated laywoman in the Secular Institute of the Apostolic Oblates. She loves to help people learn how to pray and deepen their relationship with Jesus.

TOPIC: Permission to Be YOU: the freedom to shine

There will always be some voice telling me that whoever I am today is not enough.But what if we are truly the light of the world, a light already inside of us—as Jesus said—and we were meant to shine? What if, as children of God, there are resources to draw upon—a reservoir of kindness, compassion, hope and resilience?
