Catherine Forbush

Catherine received a full-tuition scholarship to pursue a B.M. Piano Performance at the University of California, Irvine, where she studied with Nina Scolnik. She began her piano studies at the age of five and has won numerous awards since, including the Kawai Grand Prize in the 25th International Young Artists Peninsula Music Festival, the MTA All-California Solo piano competition, 1st places in the Southern California Bach concerto auditions, the MTA Scholarship Competition, and the Artists of the Future Competition. She has played in master classes for Yo-Yo Ma, Menahem Pressler, among others. She has been a solo performer with various orchestras, including the LA Chamber Orchestra. She's currently also on faculty at JSerra Catholic High School as the choral staff accompanist and piano teacher.
